RPRY Welcomes New Executive Director/COO Yehuda Kohn

The Rabbi Pesach Raymon Yeshiva (RPRY) of Edison is pleased to announce that Yehuda Kohn has accepted the position of Executive Director/COO. He began working at the yeshiva at the start of the school year.

Mr. Kohn comes to the yeshiva with extensive experience in the financial world. He has worked for close to 20 years in the mortgage industry, serving as regional director at Real Estate Mortgage Network in North Jersey for four years and more recently managing his own consulting business for the past nine years. He has also served as vice president of the Ben Porat Yosef (BPY) in Paramus, a volunteer post, for the past nine years.

Mr. Kohn will work with the lay leadership and professional staff of RPRY to enhance the yeshiva’s efforts in fundraising, finances, and facility management.

He praises the impressive number of strong relationships the yeshiva has built with a wide array of supporters–parents, grandparents, alumni, community institutions, funding agencies, and others. He hopes to help systematize fundraising activities and encourage more families and community members to take an active role in ensuring the financial future of the school.

Mr. Kohn received his BA in economics from Yeshiva University in 1994. He has participated in extensive training programs for day school financial management and fundraising sponsored by the Orthodox Union, Yeshiva University, the United Jewish Federation of New York City, the Jewish Federation of Northern New Jersey, and the Partnership for Excellence in Jewish Education in Massachusetts.

“The Executive Director plays a leading role in safeguarding the fiscal health and sustainable growth of our school,” said RPRY President Leslie Ostrin. “We are very impressed with Yehuda’s talents in these areas and thrilled to welcome him to the RPRY team. I am confident that he’ll be a major contributor to the school’s successes in the years ahead.”
