Heichal HaTorah’s STEM Clubs Are Electric

Coding and engineering clubs at Heichal are off to a great start. Students in the engineering club, led by Heichal Assistant Principal of STEM Dr. Joel Berman, are learning to design electric bike gears for a smart electric bike. They start out learning electric circuits and 3D printing and then implement those skills on practical projects. Members of the coding club, led by Heichal senior Zvi Neugroschl, meet weekly to learn the Python programming language. The coding club offers members competence in object-oriented programming, a model that organizes software design around objects, rather than code. Participants present their final projects and gain proficiency in the programming language. Students in both coding and engineering are building the necessary skills to one day explore various opportunities in the tech industry while having fun along the way.
