(Courtesy of Six13) Jewish a cappella sensation Six13 is back with a bang, unveiling their latest music video, “PSVR,” a high-energy parody of the hit song “APT.” by Rosé featuring Bruno Mars. True to Six13’s signature style, the video is packed with vibrant visuals, infectious beats, and a dose of humor, making it one of their most entertaining releases yet.
The video opens with the same bold, funky vibe that made “APT.” a global hit, but with a uniquely Jewish twist. “PSVR” takes viewers on a lively Passover-themed journey in which the group pays homage to the viral craze while also incorporating traditional Jewish culture and references. For every Six13 project there are firsts, and this time the group actually filmed every shot at 2/3 speed, to emulate the effect and tone of the original video, figuratively and sometimes literally jumping off the walls and diving into the Passover Seder. The group even committed themselves to learning the corresponding TikTok dance, so viewers can dance along.
“We wanted this to be an unapologetic celebration of Jewish identity and tradition. This may have been the most fun we’ve ever had filming a music video,” said Six13 member and Teaneck resident Eitan Hiller.
Fans are already buzzing about the video, sharing it across social media and praising the group’s creativity. This reaction mirrors the last time Six13 covered a hit by Bruno Mars when they adapted “Uptown Funk” into “Uptown Passover” 10 years ago. Both versions have stood the test of time for their respective audiences and are still performed live today.
Whether you’re a fan of a cappella or simply looking for a fun, high-energy music video this Pesach, “PSVR” is sure to hit all the right notes. Catch the video for “PSVR” on YouTube and get ready to groove along with Six13.
