The TABC Junior Varsity hockey team is one of the most decorated teams in TABC history. Led by Coach Norm Blumenthal, the team has taken home the championship five years in a row heading into this coming season.

The team has many returning players who earned significant playing time last year. These players include: Ari Fuchs and Yehoshua Naor on defense and offensemen, Yair Knoller, Calev Minsky and reigning championship MVP Daniel Levy. The other returning players include: Joe Moskowitz, Eitan Schneier, Ailey Goldstein and team favorite Yitzi Rothschild on defense, and offensemen Josh Deschino and Jonah Ganchrow. Also, last but certainly not least, goalie Shua Beilin. The newest members of the team include three defensemen and six offensemen. On defense, the Storm welcomes Jacob Rosenfeld, Elie Shapiro and Avi Wienberg, while having Leo Dredner, Zach Rothenberg, Josh Wiesel, Josh Wertenteil, Josh Lieman and Justin Goldman. The new goalies include Donny Rozenberg and Solly Weiser.

One of the big changes this year is the switch of Calev Minsky from offense to defense in order to strengthen the defense.  In addition, this year’s power play looks incredibly promising with Ari Fuchs, Yair Knoller, Daniel Levy and Yehoshua Naor. It looks better every practice. With some of the best talent in the league, this year’s expectations to get to the championship on March 23 are very high for the JV team. The team is hoping the fans will show up and get loud for their season opener on Saturday night November 2nd at MTA. Can’t wait to see you there!!
