Looking for their third straight win, the TABC Storm came home for the first time this season to take on the Ramaz Rams in the second half of a double header. The Storm came out strong, controlling the puck for the majority of the first period, barely giving up a scoring opportunity to the Rams. Despite the effort, the Ramaz goalie, Duvie Grummet, showed flashes of brilliance to keep the Storm off the board. With the game the Ramaz goalie was playing, the Storm knew they’d have to fight even harder in the second period to break through. Their efforts were rewarded mid-way into the second period as Shmuel Levy placed a perfect shot over Grummet’s glove giving TABC a 1-0 lead. With the Storm defense playing a great game in front of goalie Craig Klein, TABC dominated play. Early in the third period, however, Ramaz netted the tying goal to make it 1-1. The Storm showed flashes of their resilience and, on the same shift, Alex Malech blasted a one timer into the back of the net, which proved to be the game winner as Storm held on to take the home win 2-1 and advance to 3-0 on the season.
