The JV Storm played their home opener against Ramaz this past Tuesday night and came away with a 5-0 victory. TABC started out sluggish, but got an energy boost halfway through the first period from an unexpected source. Looking to shake things up early, Coach Norm Blumenthal sent out the freshman combo of Josh Wiesel (’17) and Joshua Wertenteil (’17) who provided instant offense, with Josh Weisel netting his first ever TABC goal to give the Storm a lead they never relinquished. The freshman combo struck again in the second period, with Shua Naor (’16) being the beneficiary of Wiesel and Wertenteil’s hard work, scoring his first goal of the season. Defenseman Joe Moskowitz (’16) also scored his first of the season, and leading goal scorer Yair Knoller (’16) added his 8th and 9th goals of the year to round out the scoring. Shua Beilin (’16) went all the way in goal for his second shutout of the season, making some key saves early on before the offense settled in.
