Bruriah Lightning on Fire

The Bruriah Lightning got off to a slow start when the team visited Frisch for its fourth game of the season. Entering the game with an impressive 3-0 record, the visitors found themselves down 4-3 halfway through the game. Daphna Becker led off the 5 th with a solo home run, tying the score at 4. A few batters later, Elisheva Pfeiffer stepped into the batter’s box and hit a triple with the bases loaded. Bruriah then held Frisch scoreless in the bottom of the 5th and only gave up two more runs for the rest of the game. With a final score of 7-6, Bruriah kept its perfect season alive.

The following night, Bruriah played a double header vs. Kushner. The Lightning won their first game with a monstrous two-run homer off the bat of Dassy Dominitch. In the second game, Bruriah dominated the whole game, holding Kushner scoreless until the bottom of the 4th. The final score 14-5, extended their record to a perfect 6-0.

With hits from Daphna Becker, Eliana Alter, Dassy Dominitch, and Shira Allen, the Lightning took the lead early. Superb pitching by Basya Goldstein and great fielding by first-baseman Meira Motechin held Ramaz to just 3 runs the entire game. With a final score of 9-3, Bruriah stays on top with a record of 7-0 and will host Heschel for the final game of the regular season.
