Jump Into Shape Offers New Women’s Beginner Class

(Courtesy of Jump Into Shape) Jump Into Shape (www.jumpintoshape.fun), a fitness program designed to build a healthier body for your soul, has started a new women’s beginner jump rope program for ages 20 and under. The class is led by Teaneck resident Adina Zahtz, a junior at Naaleh High School in Fair Lawn. “Adina, a long-time Jump Into Shape member, was an obvious choice to teach this class,” said Moshe Moskowitz, founder and lead trainer of Jump Into Shape. “After attending close to 70 of my classes (women who join the men’s class must have their audio/and video off to maintain modesty) I knew Adina understood our goal of achieving a healthier body with fun, efficient workouts.”

The women’s 20 and under class meets weekly on Wednesdays from 7:30 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. via Zoom and is preceded by a 10-minute tutorial from 7:20 p.m.- 7:30 p.m. for new jumpers or those who want to work on new jump roping skills. Participants can rent a rope and/or exercise mat on a weekly or monthly basis or buy either at a discounted rate. Bergen County residents have the equipment delivered to their door.

In the first week, 16 people joined the class and had a great workout from home while having fun. Zahtz received several positive messages after the class: “Adina that was amazing! You were so clear and motivating. Thank you,” “OMG!!! You were amazing! You ran it like a professional instructor! It was hard but doable and I literally LOVED it!” and “That class was amazing. I am signing up for next week!” among many other messages.

“After seeing the benefits the Jump Into Shape program has provided me over the past five months, I’m very excited to share it with girls my own age wherever they are located,” said Zahtz. “At a time when after school sports are limited or non-existent, this new class gives women 20 and under a chance to exercise together in a fun way.” Moskowitz added, “This class is ideal for girls looking for a fitness program to fulfill a school requirement or stay active throughout the school year.” New members get their first class and a rope and mat rental for free. Each week Jump Into Shape offers 11 classes that combine weighted jump ropes and bodyweight exercises: three 10-minute jump rope High Interval Intensity Training (HIIT) classes that burn about 120 calories, four 45-minute jump rope HIIT classes that burn about 475 calories, two 30-minute intermediate jump rope HIIT classes that burn about 325 calories, a men’s only beginner class and a women’s only beginner class. All classes are taught online via Zoom. Register today at www.jumpintoshape.fun/classes.
