The Jewish Link and Drink Up would like to recognize Yeshiva Sharei Tzion, fifth grader Yossi Klein as this week’s Sportstar of the Week. Klein was an instrumental player in the Highland Park 10U Baseball Owls perfect 13-0 record during their fall championship season. Klein has been the starting catcher on the 10U team all season long. He continued to blossom in the position as the season progressed and caught all innings during the 2020 inter-league 10U semi-final and championship games. The playoffs brought out the best in Klein, as he blocked pitches, threw out two runners trying to steal and managed the pitching staff through the final out. Aside from his defensive prowess, Klein hit over.500 in the fall season with an on-base percentage exceeding.600.
