Yiddle League was finally able to get back in the swing of things after a year off due to COVID. Needless to say, the boys were ecstatic to be able to finally play baseball again with their friends, schoolmates and neighbors. Yiddle League also welcomed back the players with special needs from Kool Kids, who will be playing for a second season. This past Sunday featured opening day games with some nail-biters, including a fantastic play by Eli Portnoy to end the fifth grade game—and stem a rally that saw the Rothenberg Law Firm A’s almost come back from being down 12-1, with the final score being 12-10. The Yiddle League games were preceded by a baseball clinic organized by the City of Passaic, and run by Victor Rivera, of the Roberto Clemente Youth Academy. The Yiddle Leaguers had a blast playing in Boverini Stadium!
