Flag Football Is Back

The Bergen County Flag Football League (BCFL) is proud to announce its partnership with NFL FLAG to bring flag football back to Bergen County. The league has tapped Ken Goffstein, Steve Gutlove and Rabbi Avi Rosalimsky to lead this venture.

Goffstein has been coaching youth sports for many years and was heavily involved in a previous local flag football league that included over 400 Bergen County participants. Gutlove brings over 15 years of youth coaching experience and eight years of high quality recreational league management expertise as a former commissioner of a rec league that had over 1,000 participants.

Rabbi Rosalimsky is a rebbe, camp director and youth director and has extensive experience running youth sports leagues and programming in Bergen County.

Dakota Marriott of NFL FLAG told The Jewish Link that the league is “extremely excited to work with Ken, Steve and Avi, in bringing the leading and largest flag football program in the country to Bergen County!”

The BCFL will launch this fall, starting with a draft combine on September 12, and include a seven week season plus playoffs. The BCFL will be open to grades k-eight and all participants will get official NFL reversible team jerseys and flags.
