Bruriah B League opened its season with a decisive victory on the road against Shaare Torah. The team got off to a slow start and yet scored its first basket two minutes into the game. Shaare Torah tied the score at 2 by converting two foul shots. BBL took over shortly after and went on a 24-0 run.

Bruriah then employed its signature pressure defense to hold Shaare Torah to single-digit scoring. Senior Avigayil Wiener led all scorers with 17 points, junior Shayna Rosenzweig added 16, freshmen Talya Markowitz and Rina Finkelstein added 12 and 8 respectively, and junior Shira Alter scored 8 in the final quarter. Elisheva Pfeiffer, Sarena Wiederkehr, and Ilana Markowitz combined for 9 points.

Bruriah takes to the road vs. Shulamith on November 6.
