The spring semester has started at the Bergen County High School of Jewish Studies and among the many electives being offered are Muggles, Magic and Matzah Balls where students step into the magical world of Hogwarts and explore Judaism through the lens of Harry Potter; #NoFilterIsrael looks at Israel’s challenges and how the media covers them; and The Ethicist where students examine a moral dilemma offered by The New York Times and explore what a Jewish perspective adds to the discussion.
