I’ve noticed that several ads from the ZOA coalition urging people to vote in the WZO elections invoke the “radical left” and “Globalists and Anti-Israel Force” While I understand the urge to use these current buzzwords to scare people into voting, I would point out the historical use of the “left” and “Globalists” as dog whistles for conspiracy theories about the Jews.
Jews have long been accused of undermining the countries where they live due to their involvement with some nefarious “world order” that controls the media, economy and might also have something to do with Communism.
It somewhat alarms me to see Jews themselves fall into using these old anti-semetic tropes against each other just because they have been made fashionable again by certain groups.
I think Jews should be able to come up with their own unique ways to disparage each other without defaulting to the same tired accusations that have been levied against us for centuries.
