TABC Brings Ruach to Final Shabbaton of ‘24-‘25

Over 100 students attended this year’s South of Cedar Shabbaton, the final TABC community Shabbaton of the school year. The Shabbaton kicked off at the Jewish Center of Teaneck, led by TABC’s own Rabbi Daniel Fridman. After a beautiful davening, everyone ate together and heard divrei Torah from Akiva Greengart ‘25. After the meal, students enjoyed shiurim with TABC rebbeim and then walked to the home of Akiva Borgen ‘26 for the weekly TABC oneg (also the final one of the year now that the clocks have changed). Words of Torah were shared by Akiva Borgen as well as by Rabbi Aharon Ciment, mara d’atra of Congregation Arzei Darom. The oneg was filled with TABC’s trademark ruach as the boys tapped into the spirit of Shabbat. The Shabbaton continued in the morning, as students had the option of enjoying minyan, a kiddush, and drasha both at Arzei Darom with Rabbi Krinsky and at Beth Aaron with Rabbi First. In the afternoon, the Shabbaton continued at Congregation Ohr Saadya with Rabbi Feldman giving a shiur after Mincha. The Shabbaton concluded at the Silber home, where seudah shlishit was enjoyed by all, words of Torah were shared by Ezra Silber ‘26 and Eyal Kinderlehrer ‘25, and students and rebbeim enjoyed a memorable and spirited havdalah. The Shabbaton served as the perfect conclusion to this year’s winter Shabbat programming!
