TABC JV Soccer Tops Frisch Cougars

(Courtesy of TABC sports) The TABC JV Soccer team traveled down Route 4 to face off against their neighbors, the Frisch Cougars, in a game with major implications for both sides. From the opening kickoff, the Storm asserted their dominance, outplaying the Cougars in every aspect of the game.

TABC struck first when Nate Brotsky ’28 capitalized on a quick restart from a free kick to put the Storm on board. The scoring continued later on in the quarter, thanks to terrific individual skill from the captain trio- Adiv Rimberg ’27, Eitan Gilad ’27 and Tani Fleischmann ’27 to lead by four at the end of the first quarter. After Natan Rouach ’27 extended the lead to 5-nil, Frisch responded with three unanswered goals to make this a contest. TABC was able to quickly respond and halt the momentum. Gilad notched his second goal of the game off great footwork and Jack Kleid ’27 scored with literally one-tenth of a second left in the half as the teams headed to the locker room and swung the momentum back in the direction of TABC.

In the second half, Max Berger ’27 helped preserve the lead with great goalkeeping, while Fleischmann converted a penalty kick and later set up Gilad’s hat trick off a cheeky backheel assist. The Storm closed out a commanding 10-3 victory after just three quarters of play.

As the playoffs beckon, everything seems to be clicking at the right time for this team!
