(TABC) The TABC Varsity Hockey team welcomed defending champs SAR to Teaneck on Thursday night, December 21, in a quest to continue their red-hot form and secure their sixth win in a row.

The two teams met back in November in Riverdale, with the Storm annihilating the Sting 6-0. SAR was determined from the opening whistle to give this round a better go, putting TABC goaltender Amichai Dresdner ’24 to the test early, but Dresdner was more than up to the task, denying shot after shot. On the offensive end though, the Storm could not find a way past SAR and the score was scoreless at the first intermission. TABC broke the deadlock in the second period. SAR could not clear the ball out of their zone and Shay Fields ’24 linked up with classmate Matis Krause ’24, who was able to backhand the ball past the SAR goaltender and put the Storm up one. A few minutes later, the Storm added another with a laser of a shot from Aryeh Simon ’25 that went top shelf. In the third period, junior Aiden Rauzman made it 3-0 with the Sting’s goalie unable to keep Rauzman’s wrister from going over the line. But the game started with Captain Krause and ended with Captain Krause, who made another nice backhanded move and faked the SAR goalie out of his pads. SAR earned a consolation goal at the very end, but it was too little too late as the Storm emerged victorious by a final score of 4-1.
