(Courtesy of Teaneck Public Schools) February was a month of impactful events at Teaneck public schools, highlighting the district’s ongoing commitment to education, community and social awareness.
In line with the district’s focus on togetherness and belonging, Teaneck public schools partnered with the Museum of Tolerance to host workshops for ninth grade students. These workshops, centered on combating online hate, promoting tolerance and encouraging digital responsibility, equipped students with the tools to create a more inclusive and respectful online environment. As part of this commitment, Teaneck High School’s Israel Club also took part in a planned trip to the Holocaust Museum in Washington, deepening students’ understanding of history and reinforcing the importance of tolerance and empathy.
In the beginning of the month, the district celebrated Black History Month, honoring the significant contributions of African Americans throughout history. A series of events and activities were held to promote understanding and foster a sense of pride among students.
In other important news, the district opened preschool registration for the 2025-26 school year, offering families the chance to apply and ensure a smooth transition into Teaneck’s educational system.
Teaneck High School also hosted Instant Decision Day, where 61 seniors received immediate college and university acceptances. This milestone event gave students a tangible step toward their higher education goals.
The month wrapped up with Public School Pride Week, a celebration of Teaneck’s public education system and the strong sense of community that supports it.
