Students in first through eighth grade gathered outside the school building for a special mitzvah that can only be done once a year—Birkat Ha’Ilanot, the blessing over a blooming fruit tree. This beautiful mitzvah thanks Hashem for the renewal of nature and the wonders of His creation. With joy and excitement, the students listened as Rabbi Shain led them in reciting the bracha, surrounded by the blossoming tree right outside the building. The moment turned into a joyful celebration, as students joined hands to sing and dance together, connecting to Hashem, to nature and to each other through this meaningful experience.
