The eighth graders of Tenafly Chabad Academy graduated in style this past Wednesday at their 2020/5780 graduation. The graduates, along with their families, enjoyed an in-person, live celebration with their teachers, administrators and faculty. The students were presented with many gifts throughout the program, among which were personalized acrylic tzedaka boxes, custom-made picture frames, Class of 2020 sweatshirts, TCA Torch yearbooks, lawn signs, diplomas, midot awards, the book “Toward a Meaningful Life” and customized TCA face masks.
The beautiful and spacious parking lot of Lubavitch on the Palisades allowed for all the families to comfortably sit outdoors while being socially distant, and enjoy watching their children and faculty march down to the sound of “Pomp and Circumstance.” After emotional speeches from the principals, Orite Rubenstein and Meital Teitelman, Rabbi Shain blessed the graduates and awarded each of them with unique and individualized Middah Awards. At the end of the evening, everyone turned towards the huge LED billboard truck and enjoyed an inspirational video presentation created by the graduates and the faculty, where each of the graduates shared the most lasting memories and lessons they will continue to carry with them in high school and beyond. Before their last farewells, the faculty surprised the graduates with cannons of confetti to top off the evening. It was a truly memorable and meaningful night. Mazal tov!
