The Humble Toast Sportstar of the Week: Menachem Wiederkehr

The Jewish Link and The Humble Toast would like to recognize Menachem Wiederkehr as this week’s Sportstar of the Week. The Rosenbaum Yeshiva of North Jersey seventh grader was one of the many stars on the YMSSA champion RYNJ Jaguars, 7th grade basketball team.  When asked about his point guard, Jaguars coach Eli Wolk told the Jewish Link, “Menachem is an extremely talented player, but way importantly, a true mensch. He  strives to be the best player he can, always looking to improve his skills. He has grown into a leader both on and off the court, and as a coach, you can’t ask for anything more. Menachem is a clutch player, who scored six points in the 4th quarter to help us come back from a 12 point deficit to win the 7th Grade Championship. He is a real pleasure to coach!” RYNJ Principal, Middle School Boys, Rabbi Avi Bernstein added, “A true superstar on and off the court, Menachem embodies the quintessential leader. With humility and the finest middot, he carries himself, his fellow team members, and all those around him with a smile and a soft-spoken manner always.”
