The Marq Teaneck, a brand-new luxury rental community in Teaneck, is available for leasing. Located on Alfred Avenue, The Marq is close to Route 4 and less than five miles away from the George Washington Bridge. There is a New Jersey Transit bus stop with buses going to New York City just a short walk away and it is conveniently located near shopping at Teaneck’s Cedar Lane shopping district and downtown Englewood. Additionally, The Marq is located within the eruv and is an approximately 10-minute walk to the Young Israel of Teaneck located in the Country Club section of Teaneck.

Malas Development, the developer behind the The Marq, is based in Rochelle Park, New Jersey. With over 25 years of experience, Malas Development has developed high-quality residential and commercial properties throughout Bergen County among other locations. In discussing the location of The Marq, Mark Malas, managing member of Malas Development, said, “I was born and grew up in Bergen County. We [Malas Development] are big fans of Bergen County. We chose to transform this block in the town of Teaneck from industrial buildings to luxury residential buildings because we love the township of Teaneck, the great accessibility to many highways, the proximity to the George Washington Bridge, and direct New Jersey Transit bus access to New York City.”

The community consists of two buildings. The first, located at 329 Alfred Ave., is six stories tall with 256 upscale apartments including studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom residences. The top floor includes loft residences with soaring 19-foot ceilings. Each apartment features spacious walk-in closets, an in-unit washer and dryer, full-size stainless steel appliances, soft-close cabinetry, and polished quartz countertops. Select residences include outdoor patios.
Approximately 100 leases have been signed for this building and nearly 50% of tenants have moved in. According to Malas, there have already been a handful of Orthodox Jewish individuals and couples who have signed leases, ranging from young couples to retirees, many from the Teaneck and Englewood communities.

The building’s amenities include a grand lobby, co-working spaces and private conference rooms, an outdoor swimming pool and pool deck, an outdoor dining area with a barbecue and kitchen area, an outdoor lounge and fire pit, a pet spa, a dog run and a fitness center with state of the art equipment. Onsite building staff is present during business hours and a concierge is present until 11 p.m. every night. The building includes a package room that notifies tenants when packages arrive. Both storage units and indoor parking spots in a parking garage with EV charging stations are available for rent. To accommodate observant Jewish tenants, one of the four elevators is a Shabbat elevator and upon request a key lock can be installed.

The second building will be adjacent to the first at 359 Alfred Avenue, with six stories and 248 upscale residences. This building is currently in the design phase with the possibility of incorporating features useful for the Orthodox Jewish community. “If there is enough demand within the Orthodox Jewish community, we are looking to add extra amenities to the second building to accommodate the Orthodox Jewish community, such as a designated prayer room and double sinks in the kitchens,” Malas said.

Currently, The Marq is offering up to two months of free rent on new leases. For more information regarding The Marq or to schedule a tour, visit www.themarqteaneck.com or call (844) 620-9149.
