Tiferet of Teaneck celebrated Yom Ha’Atzmaut by hosting an Israel Fair for the Jewish homeschooling community. After the singing of “Hatikvah,” accompanied on the violin by professional musician Stephanie Kurtzman, participants rotated through the fair’s station. Participants had a chance to make 3D Israeli flags & Israel themed jewelry, decorate cookies & cupcakes and get a special Israel-themed nail art. Devorah Levitin, a homeschool mom & Tiferet parent, shared the stories of two lone soldiers currently serving in the IDF and students wrote thank you letters to express their gratitude.
