Tish Inspires JEC Students

Fourth and fifth grade students gathered for a tish, as they do monthly, to be inspired and energized through songs, stories and of course steaming hot bowls of cholent. Each month, a different, community or school leader is honored with challenging and charging the students on what it means to be a Jewish leader. Through riveting stories and relatable examples, each student is empowered to recognize his or her own potential to lead and inspire others. This past week’s tish was special in that Assistant Principal Rabbi Ben Pomper shared a three-part story of recognizing the many miracles that surround and impact our lives. As we enter into the chag of Chanukah, may we all find ways of recognizing the light around us and adding even more light into our world.
