I’m proud to endorse Yitz Stern and Rosemary Hernandez Carroll in the upcoming Democratic primary for New Jersey’s 37th Legislative District. This race is about more than politics—it’s about choosing leaders who reflect our values, who understand our communities and who will work relentlessly to deliver real results for the people they represent. In Yitz and Rosemary, we have that leadership team.
I’ve had the privilege of working closely with Yitz for many years on the Teaneck Township Council. He is one of the most principled, thoughtful and community-driven individuals I’ve encountered in public service. Yitz is not someone who seeks the spotlight (I was his first Facebook Live)—he’s someone who shows up, rolls up his sleeves and gets things done. Whether it’s helping a resident navigate a crisis, supporting small businesses or advocating for stronger services for seniors, Yitz leads with compassion and an unwavering sense of duty.
He listens—really listens—to people. He takes the time to understand every side of an issue and seeks consensus, not credit. In a time when politics is often driven by ego or division, Yitz represents something different: a steady, ethical and results-oriented approach to governance.
His running mate, Rosemary Hernandez Carroll, is equally impressive. She brings energy, heart and a clear-eyed vision for what our communities need. Rosemary comes from a proud legacy of public service, and she carries that tradition forward with purpose and passion. She’s a working mom, a bridge builder and a fighter—someone who understands the challenges facing families across our district and who is ready to take them on in Trenton.
Together, Yitz and Rosemary offer a powerful balance of experience and fresh perspective. They are not career politicians. They are public servants in the truest sense of the term—people who want to make government more responsive, more accountable and more connected to the people it serves.
District 37 needs leaders who will fight for fairer taxes, quality education, safer streets and better services for every resident—from Hackensack to Fort Lee, from Teaneck to Englewood and beyond.
I’ve seen what Yitz and Rosemary can do—and I know they’re the right choice for our district. I hope you’ll join me in supporting their campaign and sending two exceptional leaders to Trenton.
