(Courtesy of Valley Chabad) High school teen leaders from Valley Chabad CTeen group in Woodcliff Lake knew they needed to find a way to help the innocent victims devastated in Ukraine by the terrible war.

In the meeting leading up to the Purim teen party, the group came up with a plan to collectively create an artwork supporting Ukraine and put it on a shirt to raise funds for the refugees.

In collaboration with local artist Marina Katzneleson of Washington Township, who was born in Ukraine, the group created the artwork at their Purim celebration on Wednesday evening, March 16.

The teens also chose to dedicate the funds to a Ukrainian girls’ orphanage originally in Denipro, Ukraine, now displaced due to the war. The orphanage is now split between Berlin and Israel.

The T-shirts are $25 and sweatshirts are $40. Each will carry the beautiful artwork and they are for sale online through April 4 at Valleychabad.org/helpukraine. There is also an option to make an additional donation.
