Yavneh Academy was honored to welcome Matan and Yaniv from El Ami, two IDF soldiers who were wounded in Gaza. The entire school, from pre-k through eighth grade lined the building to greet the special visitors. The students created signs and sang Am Yisrael Chai as the delegation walked to the Beit Midrash. The sixth graders wrote letters to the soldiers, thanking them for their service. The seventh and eighth graders were privileged to hear the special presentation by Matan and Yaniv, sharing their stories and incredible, applicable messages of resilience, kindness, strength, leadership and community. They stressed how important our role in this fight is, and told the students to continue the letter writing, the tefilot and the advocacy. Yavneh Academy feels so blessed to have been able to learn from them. Am Yisrael Chai!
