On Tuesday, March 8, 45 Yavneh Academy middle school students, who did Shnayim Mikra for at least two thirds of sefer Shmot, participated in a celebratory siyum. Rabbi Elliot Schrier of Congregation Bnai Yeshurun presented a shiur to the students introducing sefer Vayikra. Students learned about the importance of sacrifice and service. Everyone then enjoyed a siyum in the lower school gym, which included pizza, french fries and ice cream. A Kahoot was played to review many of the topics in sefer Shemot. Yavneh Academy is so proud of the students who finished the sefer, and looks forward to celebrating again at the end of sefer Vayikra!
