Yavneh Academy celebrated its fifth annual Book Character Day. Early childhood and lower school students enjoyed sharing their favorite books through interactive games, costumes and special read-alouds. This year, the author of “Sugar Cookie,” Lisa Zach visited ECD students. Lower school enjoyed a fun interactive visit with award-winning author Anica Mrose Rissi, author of “Teacher’s Pet,” who shared insights into her writing process, did an interactive read-aloud and answered students’ terrific questions. The memorable day also kickstarted the lower school’s inaugural read-a-thon.
