Yeshivat He’Atid celebrates its teachers with a very special Teacher Appreciation week. Being a teacher has always been a heroic job. It involves hours of intense hands-on work, a tremendous amount of preparation and a ton of responsibility, empathy and patience.

People who become teachers strive to inspire and nurture positive connections with their students and truly want to make a difference. The He’Atid teachers are absolutely amazing! There is no doubt that the past year was incredibly challenging for teachers everywhere, but the teachers at Yeshivat He’Atid have shown true grit as they approach each day with a smile to make sure the students are learning, safe and happy. Teachers created a structured and stable home away from home for their students. They come in with their masks, face shields and Purell, ready to turn this world right-side up and bring some normalcy to the lives of each child.

The teachers enjoyed a special breakfast on Monday with pastries and fresh coffee. The YHPA sponsored the rest of the week! Tuesday was Krispy Kreme donut packages for each teacher’s family with a delicious cup of freshly brewed Krispy Kreme coffee. The teachers received beautiful plants to adorn their homes as a thank you for helping each child grow, and a fancy salad lunch, provided by Fork and Bowl. There was a spa-themed Thursday with fruit salad, scented candles and lip balm—and special popcorn Shabbat treats for Friday. Perhaps the most special was the hundreds of Post-It notes, decorating the walls, from various students with messages of appreciation for their teachers.
