On Saturday night, the third-grade students had their first melave malka. They learned with their parents about the order of the brachot in Havdala and why we use besamim and a candle. Children and parents then made Havdala candles by braiding three candles together and decorated cups for Havdala. To end off the night, they sang with Rabbi Jesse. It was a really fun night at Yeshivat He’Atid!
