Yeshivat Noam Holds Annual Mother-Daughter Challah Bake

In a heartwarming display of unity, tradition and inspiration, Yeshivat Noam hosted its annual Mother-Daughter Challah Bake this past week. The beloved event brought together mothers and daughters from fourth grade to share in the timeless mitzvah of baking challah—while reflecting on the strength and courage of Jewish women throughout the generations.

This year’s theme centered on female role models in Tanach, and the program featured engaging teachings about the profound impact of biblical women such as Sarah, Miriam, Devorah, Hannah and others who shaped Jewish history through their courage, faith and leadership. Mothers and daughters explored how these timeless figures continue to inspire the values of kindness, resilience and spiritual strength in their own lives.

As the dough was kneaded and braided, voices joined together in heartfelt tefillah, including special prayers for peace in Israel and around the world. The room echoed with beautiful singing, creating an atmosphere of togetherness, hope and holiness.

The event, which has become a cherished tradition at Yeshivat Noam, served not only as a meaningful way to honor mothers, but also as a celebration of the deep spiritual bonds shared between generations of Jewish women. With flour on their hands and joy in their hearts, mothers and daughters left the event feeling uplifted, connected and proud to be part of such a vibrant community.
