I found the advertisement in the May 18 issue on page G1 for the Tehillim Kollel to be disingenuous at best, sakanat nefashot (endangering a life) at worst.
The headline says: “Tehillim Cured our Daughter’s Depression.” In a world of TL;DR, people may not realize that it was psychological professionals who cured this girl’s depression, not Tehillim.
The ad gives the message that Tehillim can cure depression, which is not the case.
Please use more discretion in the future regarding to which advertisements you publish. If you can’t, I can easily think of 13 reasons why ads like that should not be published.
