On Sunday, Sept. 18, the YM-YWHA of Union will begin its “50 years on Green Lane” celebration. At 1 p.m. Dr. Gilbert Kahn will discuss “ The Importance of the Jewish Vote in the Presidential Election.” There will also be children’s programs from 12:30 to 2:30—Jewish holiday crafts and make-your-own ice cream sundae. “Lights for Lois,” a swim-a-thon in memory of Lois Schlar, will take place beginning at 1 p.m. This will raise money for new lighting in the pool area. Participants can donate, sponsor or register to swim. All programs are free and the new 2016-17 program guide and schedule will be available.
The Y is located at 501 Green Lane in Union. For more information call 908-289-8112.
