‘70 Days for 70 Years’ is a unique new program that commemorates the horrible destruction of the Holocaust, which came to an end 70 years ago, by presenting 70 inspiring and thought-provoking essays by a wide variety of prominent writers in an easy-to-read format, which students and teachers go through on a day to day basis.
MTA choose to begin their program this week so that Yom HaShoah will fall out in the middle of the program. This sends the important and powerful message that as Jews, we must both focus on the past and continue to grow towards the future.
Rebbeim and teachers are incorporating the articles into their regular lessons, making the program relevant each day. By participating in this endeavor, MTA is joining with many people of all ages and backgrounds throughout the world who have likewise undertaken this worthy project.
The program at MTA is sponsored in memory of Liba bas Yaakov and Yaakov ben Yehuda Tzvi. For more information about “70 Days for 70 Years,” visit www.70for70.com.
