(Courtesy of WO/Liv Chesed Committee) The West Orange/Livingston Chesed Committee raised more than $23,000, providing 870 “Passover to Go” meals to the community this year.
The packages included a ready-made Seder plate and meals for the first and last days of Passover, including Shabbat. The first half of the holiday was catered by Reuben’s Glatt Stop, and the second half by Shimon Nissel of Shimtal Catering. The effort was coordinated by Ora and Ira Bloom; Moshe and Renee Glick; Barbara Listhaus; Boni Moskovitz; and Larry Rein; along with volunteers in the community who helped pack. Deliveries were made possible by community volunteers as well, including Deliver Together.
