Noam 6B Basketball Undefeated and On a Roll

The 6B Noam Knights have so far been perfect at home and on the road over the last two weeks. The Knights began the month looking to stay perfect facing Yavneh Academy at home on March 2nd and the game was highlighted by the return of Aiden Sausen coming off an ankle injury.

The game started off with Jonah Schachter’s lightning fast speed leading the way on a number of fast breaks. David Gellis’s strong rebounding kept the Knights rolling and Noam was quickly up 16-2 at the end of the 1st quarter. Noam’s Yair Koenigsberg then scored with a few strong moves to give the Knights a nice lead heading into the half. Yavneh’s David Siesser and Daniel Stempel did not give up and played hard, but it was not enough to hold off Noam. The game ended with a Noam victory, 42-14. Noam got excellent playing time from Ezra Baron and Eli Gilad as its record went to 4-0.

Noam’s next game was on March 8th in a rematch against RPRY. The game started out with a few key steals by Jonah Schachter to give the Knights an 11-6 lead. Then the Knights were able to blow the game open with great shooting by Eytan Suss and Jonah Gerson. At halftime, the Knights had a comfortable lead and never looked back. RPRY threatened shortly after the half with a few steals, but Noam continued to hit their shots and stayed strong. The Knights finished the game with a 52-27 victory.
