The Jewish Link of New Jersey and Gotham Burger would like to recognize SAR 8th grader Judah Oppenheimer as this week’s Sportstar of the week. The 14-year-old SAR point guard was one of the key factors behind SAR’s 11-0 record going into last week’s championship game. Oppenheimer shot the lights out in SAR’s semi-final victory over a really talented RYNJ Jaguars team, including a game winning buzzer beater over a taller defenders outstretched arms. Steve Gutlove, coach of the Jaguars told the JLNJ “to hit a clutch shot like that as the clock is expiring, shows tremendous poise, Judah must have ice in his veins, very cool under pressure.”
