Jaime Lehrhoff, M.A., LDT-C, owner of Livingston Educational Center, presented a workshop entitled “Successful Strategies for All Students,” for the fifth and sixth grades this week. The workshop focused on understanding one’s learning style; how to organize and prioritize homework, tests and projects; strategies to enhance memory; along with specific strategies for studying for various types of tests. The informative workshop also taught the students metacognition, being aware of what is working and not working for them as learners and being able to adjust how they go about studying. All of the above information and techniques were summarized in folders that the students received to take home with them for future use.
