(Courtesy of Bris Avrohom) Rabbi Mordechai and Shterney Kanelsky continue the legacy of their daughter Bat Sheva Kanelsky, ob”m, by encouraging children to learn mishnayot, Tania and ma’amarim of the Rebbe in her memory.
This year, a group of boys from Yeshivas Bais Dovid U’Shlomo in New Haven, Connecticut, learned the mishanyot, Tania and ma’amarim by heart in conjunction with the 120th birthday of the Rebbe. The boys received stipends and books as a reward for the diligence in their learning.
As we approach the holiday of Shavuot, the day we celebrate receiving the Torah, Bat Sheva Mitzvah Campaign is encouraging young adults to study words of Torah by heart, to ensure that wherever they may be, they have words of Torah etched in their minds.
