As part of their study of the American Civil War, Dr. Garry Katz’s TABC tenth grade honors American history class visited the Abe Lincoln exhibit, now hosted at the New York Historical Society. The exhibit, based on a book by Brandeis University professor Jonathan Sarna and Benjamin Shapell, explores the relationship between our 16th president and the Jews with whom he interacted. The exhibit’s display of personal documents written by President Lincoln enhanced many of the topics that the students had discussed in class.
