To the Editor:

The Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions movement (BDS) has, unfortunately, been gaining momentum over the last number of months. Jewish Federation of Northern New Jersey considers this a serious threat to the only true democracy in the Middle East, the State of Israel. As an independent member of the Jewish Federation/UJA system located in, and representing, the local northern New Jersey community, we are committed to fighting BDS in all its destructive and poisonous forms. We oppose all attempts, made by any organization or group, to destabilize and delegitimize Israel through the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement (BDS). We regard support of the BDS movement, in any of its forms, as being unacceptable and an existential threat to the State of Israel and the Jewish people.
