New York State Assemblymember Gary Pretlow will be the honoree at this year’s dinner on June 19. Pretlow has been a dedicated public servant for over 35 years, first serving on the Mount Vernon City Council. Since 1992, he has represented Fleetwood in the New York State Assembly.

Pretlow is being honored in part for his work in preserving the expansive Fleetwood eruv. He helped maintain the eruv’s viability during construction in downtown Mount Vernon, where some eruv infrastructure is located. Pretlow was a devoted advocate of the Fleetwood Jewish community throughout the process.

Fleetwood is a growing Modern Orthodox community in Southern Westchester, just north of New York City.
