JFSCNJ Offers Home Health Aide Training Program

(Courtesy of JFSCNJ) Maria Mullen, RN, Jewish Family Service of Central NJ (JFSCNJ) director of nursing, has announced that a four-week training program for certified home health aides will begin on Monday, August 1. “The course will put you on the path to a new career as a certified home health aide, a field that is rapidly growing and in high demand,” she said. The program will end Thursday, August 25.

It will be determined at this point if all lectures will be done remotely. The skills portion will be done on-site in the organization’s state-of-the-art training lab at the JFS Halpern Building, 655 Westfield Avenue in Elizabeth, New Jersey.

Classes will be held Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m., for four weeks, with a half-hour lunch break. The JFSCNJ Certified Home Health Aide Training Program meets all of the requirements of the New Jersey Board of Nursing. The fee for the class is $75 for books and materials.

The JFSCNJ Certified Home Health Aide Training Program is generously funded by The Fred C. Rummel Foundation and Jewish Family Service of Central NJ.

An interview and pre-screening are required before you can be accepted into the Certified Home Health Aide Training Program. Please contact [email protected] or call 908-352-8375 for further information.
