A beautiful menorah lighting was held at the French Embassy; the Chabad ice menorah lighting was held in midtown Manhattan; and a gigantic menorah, billed as the world’s largest,was lit in Central Park. An additional lighting took place in Times Square, with many of these celebrations enhanced by live music, a choir and boxes of fresh sufganiyot for the huge crowds gathered.
