(Courtesy of Migdal Ohr) Rabbi Yitzchak David Grossman is known for his unconditional love of every single Jew and his tireless work raising tens of thousands of orphaned and underprivileged children to become active citizens and leaders in Israeli society.
This year marks Migdal Ohr’s golden anniversary and communities around the world are coming together to honor Rabbi Grossman by writing a sefer Torah. The Torah will be used by the programs of Migdal Ohr and is being written by a scribe who grew up at Migdal Ohr.
Rabbi Levinger, the sofer, is an alumnus of Migdal Ohr’s transformational programs who became a rabbi, sofer and communal leader thanks to the encouragement and support he received from Rabbi Grossman and his teachers at Migdal Ohr. The rabbi has a very moving story of how he went from being a young boy with a challenging background to a leader in his community and a father of 10 children. This is an incredible opportunity for people to claim an eternal part in the writing of the sefer Torah and to dedicate part of it in honor or memory of someone.
The entire Torah is being underwritten by generous donors and all dedications go directly to helping raise underprivileged children in Israel.
Join us leading up to Simchat Torah when we will celebrate the children during “kol hanearim,” and follow in Rabbi Grossman’s footsteps!
You can have a life-changing impact on a child by taking part in this very special sefer Torah.
