Moshava Ba’ir Welcomes Hundreds Of Campers for Summer 2022

(Courtesy of Moshava Ba’ir) Moshava Ba’ir was ecstatic to open its doors this past Tuesday, June 21, to over 1,000 smiling campers and staff. MBNJ was the second of Bnei Akiva of the U.S. and Canada’s five Moshava Ba’ir day camps to start camp this summer, following right after Moshava Ba’ir Chicago’s first day of camp.

The opening week kicked off with all the amazing and unique peulot (activities) campers have come to know and love, including: the awesome Kir Tipus (climbing wall), Gan Chayot (animal center) and Nagarut (woodworking). Campers also enjoyed making delicious treats in Afiya and Bishul, making artwork with Melechet Yad, learning about Israel in Chavaya Yisraelit, in addition to unique experiential education activities tied to this year’s theme of Binyan Yisrael.

Of course, camp was action-packed with daily sports activities, swimming and water sports. Tzevet (staff) and chanichim (campers) alike couldn’t wait to be back in the Chadar Ochel for the only-at-MBNJ, ruach-filled, post-lunch dance parties.

On Wednesday, the camp received a fun visit from Power House, who brought in an interactive game show and entertainment for the campers. On Thursday, the Bogrim division took an awesome trip on a powerboat called The BEAST in New York City. The camp enjoyed Eidah-wide activities on Thursday, allowing the divisions to connect and get to know each other better. Overall, everyone had a great start to the summer and will be looking forward to more exciting adventures next week!
