The transition from early childhood to elementary school is a very memorable milestone. On the first day of school, Ben Porat Yosef first graders and their parents were invited to a moving up ceremony that was the perfect way to celebrate their first day of first grade. The families were warmly welcomed and had the opportunity to meet the administration and teachers. Then, surrounded by loving parents, the first graders gathered under talitot as they sang “Hamalach Hagoel” and were blessed by the kohanim that were present. Parents were beaming as they watched their children. Proudly dressed in their school uniforms, the students excitedly lined up by class. As they walked to their first grade classes they said goodbye to the early childhood wing, taking with them all of their wonderful memories from kindergarten. BPY is confident that the first graders will continue to bring their families much nachat!
