Just before Yom Kippur, Heichal talmidim and their rabbeim completed the recitation of the entire sefer Tehillim. During the uplifting and inspiring night, each talmid received one perek of Tehillim to say that evening. Over their four year journey at Heichal, each talmid studies and internalizes the messages of his perek of Tehillim, reading it each time the yeshiva says Tehillim together. Each perek was sponsored by a Heichal family. Rabbi Stechler addressed the students, encouraging them to tap into the great spiritual power of Tehillim and to integrate davening as a central part of their lives. Following Tehillim, the entire yeshiva joined in singing a beautiful song about teshuva, led by Rav Dani Staum. The evening concluded with an energizing kumzitz with Eitan Katz focusing on songs taken from Tehillim. The Tehillim-a-Thon’s main goal was to inspire Heichal talmidim to speak passionately to Hashem during Yom Kippur and beyond.
