On Tuesday, October 25, Tenafly Chabad Academy middle school had the privilege of hosting representatives from CCSA, Communities Confronting Substance Use and Addiction. In three separate workshops for sixth, seventh and eighth grade, students learned about brain development, social influences, peer pressure, refusal skills, healthy ways to cope with stressors and how to speak up and ask for help. Each presentation included a personal story from one of the presenters, followed by an informative slideshow and engaging discussions and role-plays. TCA is grateful to CCSA for this wonderful opportunity to educate and empower its students to make healthy, educated and informed decisions.
